On behalf of the Steering & Organizing Committees, we are delighted to announce that the 7th International Indonesia Gas Conference & Exhibition will be held from 27 to 29 January 2015 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Indonesia.
In light of the success of the past six conferences, the IndoGAS Conference and Exhibition
is the most important forum for natural gas industry executives and professionals in the Asia-Pacific region..
The demand for natural gas continues to rise in Indonesia, while countries in the region continue to look for security of gas and energy supply. Thus the challenge we face now is how to improve the availability of natural gas and to explore alternatives to help fulfil both domestic and export gas needs.
The Indonesian Government’s policy aims at developing the utilization of gas as one of the main sources of energy because its potential supply remains high. In managing increasing gas demand, a high priority is given to the industrial sector. Large upstream investments
are therefore required to exploit Indonesia’s vast gas resources and to deliver the gas needed by current markets. Furthermore, infrastructure development is crucial to expanding the utilization of natural gas especially in domestic markets.
Gas infrastructure is therefore a must; it is a key factor for downstream and upstream gas businesses to create multiplier effects for derivative industries and is the engine for economic growth and development. Indeed, infrastructure should provide efficient and low cost services. It needs comprehensive planning and prudent decisions.
Sustainability of gas resources is another key element. Exploration of alternative energies
is necessary to help ensure sustainable gas resources. Efficiencies in the area of gas utilization in the market have been continuously improved over the last decades. However, improvement of efficiency across the gas value chain has now become very important.
Finally the development of human capability needs to be strategized to match the grand plans and efforts in exploring energy alternatives and ensuring efficiency across the gas value chain.
Consistent with the above, the 7th IndoGAS 2015 Conference & Exhibition will attract the interest and support of Government officials and global natural gas industry executives and professionals.
We look forward to welcoming you at IndoGAS 2015
